Brass Press Ball Valve with Female Thread × Copper Tube Press End
Brass press ball valve with one female threaded end and one copper tube press connection, designed for mixed threaded-to-copper piping installations. Available from 1/2″ × 15 mm to 2″ × 54 mm, with BSP, BSPT or NPT female thread options and a blue quarter-turn lever handle.
This brass press ball valve with female thread × copper tube
press connection combines two different connection methods
in one compact quarter-turn valve.
One side uses a female threaded connection for compatible threaded
pipe, fittings or equipment, while the opposite side connects to
compatible metric copper tube through a press-fit connection.
The available size range runs from
1/2″ × 15 mm to 2″ × 54 mm.
Female thread options include BSP, BSPT and NPT according to the
required product configuration.
This mixed-connection design can be useful where an existing
threaded component needs to transition directly into a copper
tube system without adding a separate threaded-to-press adapter.

while the metric dimension refers to the corresponding
copper tube press connection.

Do not specify only one side of the valve when requesting
a quotation. A clearer purchasing description is, for example,
3/4″ Female BSP × 22 mm copper tube press connection.
Why Use a Female Thread × Press Connection?
Many piping installations contain both threaded equipment
connections and copper tube sections.
A conventional Female × Female threaded ball valve may require
an additional adapter before it can connect to the copper tube.
A valve with a threaded end on one side and a press connection
on the other can simplify this transition where the dimensions
and connection systems are compatible.
This can be useful around pumps, equipment connections,
branch lines and other locations where the piping system
changes from threaded components to copper tube.
Copper Tube Press Connection
The metric end of the valve is designed for installation
with compatible copper tube using a suitable press system.
During installation, the prepared tube is inserted into
the press end and mechanically compressed using the
appropriate press tool and jaw.
The exact press profile is an important purchasing parameter.
Different press systems may use different connection geometry,
sealing rings and jaw profiles.
Buyers should therefore confirm the
tube outside diameter, press profile, sealing material
and press-tool compatibility before ordering.
Press Profile and Tool Compatibility
The term “press-fit” does not mean that every press valve
can be installed with every pressing tool.
Press connection profiles and jaw geometries can differ
between piping systems. The compatible tooling must match
the final valve configuration.
If you are replacing an existing press valve, provide the
current valve datasheet, press profile, tube information
or reference sample whenever possible.
Important:
do not assume that different press profiles or press jaws
are automatically interchangeable.
BSP, BSPT or NPT Female Thread?
The threaded side can be evaluated with
BSP, BSPT or NPT according to the required
product specification.
A nominal size such as “1/2 inch” does not completely identify
the thread. BSP-family and NPT threads use different geometry
and should not normally be treated as interchangeable.
Buyers should specify the exact thread standard together with
the size and mating component whenever possible.

BSP vs NPT Threads: What Brass Valve Buyers Should Know
.
Typical Applications
Final suitability depends on the confirmed pressure,
temperature, sealing materials and working medium.
Water Supply
Manual shut-off where a threaded connection transitions
into a compatible copper tube water line.
Plumbing Systems
Mixed threaded-to-press connection for compatible
residential and commercial plumbing installations.
HVAC Water Lines
Can be evaluated for compatible water-based HVAC
piping and equipment connections.
Heating & Cooling Lines
Can be evaluated for compatible hydronic applications
after temperature and sealing requirements are confirmed.
Equipment Connections
Useful where threaded equipment needs to connect
directly to compatible copper tube.
Distribution & OEM
Suitable for evaluation by plumbing distributors,
wholesalers and private-label buyers.
What Should Buyers Confirm Before Ordering?
Mixed-connection valves require both sides of the product
specification to be clearly defined.
