| Working Medium | To Be Confirmed According to Application |
| OEM / Customization | Available According to Project Requirements |
The current factory specification confirms a 400 PSI / 27.6 bar WOG non-shock pressure rating.
Suitability for a specific working medium should be confirmed according to the actual pressure, temperature and project requirements.
3. What Does 400 PSI WOG Mean?
The current factory specification lists this valve at 400 PSI / 27.6 bar WOG non-shock.
Pressure rating should not be considered independently from temperature, working medium and the internal valve configuration.
For project orders, provide the actual service conditions so that the required specification can be confirmed before production.
4. Standard Port Ball Valve Design
This model uses a standard-port design.
The internal flow passage is smaller than that of a comparable full-port valve and should therefore be distinguished from full-bore or full-port models when comparing quotations.
Port configuration can affect the internal bore, material consumption and flow characteristics of the finished valve.
Standard port and full port are different internal configurations.
A valve should not be described as full port unless the actual bore specification confirms it.
5. Female × Female Threaded Ends
This brass ball valve uses female threaded connections on both ends.
The valve connects to compatible male-threaded pipes, fittings or other components and is commonly selected where a compact threaded shut-off valve is required.
The nominal valve size and thread standard should both be confirmed before ordering.
6. BSP, BSPT and NPT Thread Options
BSP, BSPT and NPT thread options are available according to order requirements.
BSP
BSP thread configurations can be supplied according to the confirmed piping and market requirements.
BSPT
BSP tapered thread versions are available when required by the project specification.
NPT
NPT threaded versions can be supplied for piping systems requiring the corresponding tapered thread standard.
Always confirm whether BSP, BSPT or NPT thread is required.
7. Size Range
The current factory specification lists sizes from 1/2″ to 2″.
| Size Range | Connection | Thread Options |
|---|---|---|
| 1/2″–2″ | Female × Female | BSP / BSPT / NPT |
8. Working Temperature
The specified working temperature range for this model is:
-20°C to 120°C / -4°F to 248°F
Actual suitability at a specific temperature also depends on the medium and internal component specification.
9. How Does a Brass Ball Valve Work?
A ball valve controls flow by rotating an internal ball with a bore through its center.
When the ball bore is aligned with the flow path, fluid can pass through the valve.
Turning the lever rotates the valve stem and internal ball.
When the ball is rotated approximately 90 degrees, the solid portion of the ball blocks the flow passage.
This quarter-turn mechanism provides straightforward manual on/off control.
10. 400 PSI Standard Port vs 600 PSI Full Port
The 400 PSI and 600 PSI brass ball valve versions should be treated as different product specifications rather than as interchangeable versions of the same valve.
| Specification | 400 PSI Model | 600 PSI Model |
|---|---|---|
| Pressure Rating | 400 PSI / 27.6 bar WOG | 600 PSI / 41.3 bar WOG |
| Port Design | Standard Port | Full Port |
| Size Range | 1/2″–2″ | 1/4″–2″ |
| Connection | Female × Female | Female × Female |
Selection should be based on the required pressure, bore configuration, application and complete technical specification.
11. What Should Buyers Confirm Before Ordering?
Brass ball valves that look similar may still have different internal specifications.
Before comparing quotations, confirm:
- 400 PSI pressure requirement
- Standard-port design
- Required valve size
- BSP, BSPT or NPT thread
- Working medium
- Working temperature
- Required brass specification
- Internal component requirements
- Logo and packaging
- Order quantity

12. CNC Machining and Product Consistency
CNC machining is used to create important dimensions such as threads, internal cavities, stem positions and sealing interfaces.
Its purpose is to achieve the required geometry and assembly conditions rather than to compensate for poor raw material.

13. OEM and Custom Brass Ball Valve Options
SUNRICH FLOW supports OEM and customized brass ball valve projects for importers, distributors and private-label customers.
Depending on project requirements, customization can be evaluated for:
- BSP, BSPT or NPT threads
- Valve body marking
- Logo
- Handle marking or color
- Product specifications
- Private-label packaging
- Drawing-based development
- Physical sample-based development
If you do not have a technical drawing, an existing valve sample can also be used as the starting point for technical evaluation.
