Brass Float Valve with Red Plastic Float Ball

Brass float valve with red plastic float ball for automatic water level control in tanks and water storage systems. Available in 1/2″–2″ sizes, with a working pressure range of 0.04–0.6 MPa and a working temperature range of 0°C to 60°C.

This brass float valve with red plastic float ball is designed for automatic water level control in water tanks and storage systems.

As the water level rises or falls, the float ball moves the operating arm and valve mechanism to control the incoming water supply automatically.

The current factory specification covers sizes from 1/2″ to 2″, with a working pressure range of 0.04 MPa to 0.6 MPa and a working temperature range from 0°C to 60°C.

3. How Does a Brass Float Valve Work?

The float valve uses the water level inside a tank to control the inlet mechanically.

Water Level Drops

As the water level falls, the plastic float ball moves downward with the water surface.

Valve Opens

The movement of the float arm operates the valve mechanism and allows water to enter the tank.

Water Level Rises

As the tank fills, the float ball rises with the water level.

Valve Closes

When the float reaches the shut-off position, the mechanism closes the water inlet.

The valve operates mechanically and does not require an electrical water-level sensor or power supply for normal operation.

4. Plastic Float Ball

This model uses a red plastic float ball to provide the buoyancy required to operate the water-level control mechanism.

As the water level changes, the float ball rises and falls and transfers this movement through the operating arm to the valve.

The current technical information does not specify the plastic material grade, float diameter or standard rod length.

If float-ball diameter, plastic material or rod dimensions are important for replacement or OEM applications, include these requirements in your RFQ.

5. Working Pressure Range: 0.04–0.6 MPa

The current factory specification defines the working pressure range as:

0.04 MPa ≤ PW ≤ 0.6 MPa

This should be treated as an operating pressure range rather than simply describing the valve as a 0.6 MPa pressure-rated product.

Selection Tip:
Actual inlet pressure should remain within the specified operating range. If system pressure falls outside this range, product suitability should be evaluated before ordering.

6. Available Sizes

The current factory information confirms the following sizes:

Nominal Size Working Medium Working Pressure
1/2″ Water 0.04–0.6 MPa
3/4″ Water 0.04–0.6 MPa
1″ Water 0.04–0.6 MPa
1-1/4″ Water 0.04–0.6 MPa
1-1/2″ Water 0.04–0.6 MPa
2″ Water 0.04–0.6 MPa

7. Working Temperature

The specified working temperature range is:

0°C to 60°C

Applications outside this temperature range should be evaluated separately before product selection.

8. Typical Applications

Brass float valves are used where the incoming water supply needs to be controlled automatically according to the water level inside a tank or reservoir.

01
Water Tanks
02
Storage Tanks
03
Water Reservoirs
04
Water Supply Systems

Final suitability depends on inlet pressure, tank dimensions, required water level, connection specification, temperature and material requirements.

9. Plastic Ball vs Stainless Steel Ball Float Valve

SUNRICH FLOW also supplies a separate brass adjustable float valve model using a stainless steel float ball.

These should be treated as different product configurations rather than assuming that only the float ball is interchangeable between every model.

Plastic Float Ball

This product uses a red plastic float ball and should be selected according to its confirmed pressure, temperature and tank requirements.

Stainless Steel Float Ball

A separate model is available with a stainless steel float ball for projects requiring that product configuration.

10. What Should Buyers Confirm Before Ordering?

A float valve should not be selected only by nominal inlet size.

Before requesting a quotation, confirm:

  • Required valve size
  • Thread or connection standard
  • Actual inlet pressure
  • Working temperature
  • Tank dimensions
  • Required shut-off water level
  • Rod dimensions if important
  • Float-ball dimensions if important
  • Material requirements
  • Order quantity
  • Logo and packaging requirements

11. Replacement and OEM Float Valve Projects

For replacement projects, product dimensions are often as important as the nominal valve size.

Useful information includes:

  • Existing valve photos
  • Connection size
  • Thread standard
  • Rod length
  • Float-ball diameter
  • Tank installation dimensions
  • Working pressure
