This brass ball valve with blue lever handle is designed for manual shut-off in hot and cold water piping systems.
The product series uses a CW511L brass body, CW511L stem and hard-chromed solid CW511L ball, together with PTFE seats and an SS304 operating handle.
Female × Female and Male × Female connection configurations are available, with both natural brass and nickel plated finishes. The regular ball valve series covers sizes from 1/4″ to 2″, with pressure ratings varying according to valve size.

Pressure rating varies by valve size. Do not specify this product simply as a PN40 valve across the complete 1/4″–2″ range.
3. Pressure Rating by Valve Size
The pressure rating of this brass ball valve series changes according to nominal valve size.
| Valve Size | Pressure Rating |
|---|---|
| 1/4″–3/4″ | PN40 |
| 1″–1-1/4″ | PN32 |
| 1-1/2″–2″ | PN25 |
4. Available Product Configurations
This product page covers several related configurations using the same blue lever-handle ball valve platform.
| Model | Connection | Surface Finish |
|---|---|---|
| 1A112 | Female × Female | Natural Brass |
| 1A112N | Female × Female | Nickel Plated |
| 1A312 | Male × Female | Natural Brass |
| 1A312N | Male × Female | Nickel Plated |
5. Female × Female and Male × Female Connections
Female × Female (F/F)
Both valve ends use internal female threads for connection to compatible male-threaded pipes or fittings.
Male × Female (M/F)
One end uses an external male thread and the opposite end uses an internal female thread, providing another connection option for piping layouts requiring mixed thread ends.
6. BSP, BSPT and NPT Thread Options
BSP, BSPT and NPT thread options can be supplied according to the required piping system and destination market.
The nominal valve size alone is not sufficient when requesting a quotation.
Buyers should also specify the required thread standard.
BSP, BSPT and NPT are different thread systems and should not be treated as automatically interchangeable simply because they use the same nominal size.
7. Natural Brass and Nickel Plated Finish
The series is available in both natural brass and nickel plated external finishes.
Natural Brass
Maintains the natural brass appearance of the valve body and is available for both Female × Female and Male × Female versions.
Nickel Plated
Provides a silver-colored external finish and is available for corresponding Female × Female and Male × Female configurations.
8. CW511L Valve Construction
The available technical specification identifies CW511L for the valve body, stem and ball.
The ball uses a hard-chromed surface, while the sealing seats are PTFE.
The operating handle and handle nut are SS304.
| Component | Material |
|---|---|
| Body | CW511L |
| Ball | CW511L, Hard Chromed |
| Stem | CW511L |
| Seat | PTFE |
| Handle | SS304 |
| Handle Nut | SS304 |
9. How Does the Ball Valve Work?
The valve uses a quarter-turn operating mechanism.
When the bore in the ball is aligned with the pipeline, water can pass through the valve.
Rotating the blue lever handle approximately 90 degrees turns the stem and internal ball.
When the ball rotates across the flow path, the valve isolates the pipeline.
10. Hot and Cold Water Applications
The current technical specification identifies this brass ball valve series for hot and cold water applications.
The specified working temperature range is:
-20°C to 100°C
For another working medium or operating condition, compatibility should be confirmed before ordering rather than assuming that the same valve specification is suitable.
11. 100% Testing
The current product specification identifies the valve series as 100% tested.
Testing is an important part of finished-valve quality control because material selection and machining accuracy alone cannot confirm the sealing performance of the assembled valve.
For project orders requiring a specific pressure-test procedure, acceptance criterion or inspection document, provide the required test specification before production.
12. What Should Buyers Confirm Before Ordering?
Before comparing quotations for this brass ball valve series, confirm:
- Required valve size
- Female × Female or Male × Female connection
- BSP, BSPT or NPT thread
- Natural brass or nickel plated finish
- Pressure rating corresponding to the selected size
- Working temperature
- Water application requirements
- Required internal component specification
- Logo and packaging requirements
- Order quantity

13. OEM and Custom Brass Ball Valve Options
SUNRICH FLOW supports OEM and customized brass valve projects for importers, distributors and private-label customers.
Depending on project requirements, customization can be evaluated for:
- BSP, BSPT or NPT thread
- Connection configuration
- Surface finish
- Valve body marking
- Logo
- Handle requirements
- Private-label packaging
- Drawing-based development
- Physical sample-based development
If you do not have a technical drawing, an existing valve sample can also be used as the starting point for product evaluation.
