This brass adjustable float valve with stainless steel ball is designed for automatic water level control in tanks and water storage systems.
As the water level rises or falls, the stainless steel float ball moves the operating rod and valve mechanism to control the incoming water supply automatically without electrical power.
The current factory specification covers sizes from 1/2″ to 2″, with a working pressure range of 0.04 MPa to 0.6 MPa and a working temperature range from 0°C to 60°C.

3. How Does an Adjustable Float Valve Work?
The float valve uses the water level inside a tank to control the inlet mechanically.
As the water level falls, the stainless steel float ball moves downward with the water surface.
Movement of the float arm operates the valve mechanism and allows water to enter the tank.
As the tank fills, the stainless steel ball rises with the water level.
When the float reaches the set position, the mechanism closes the inlet to help maintain the required water level.
4. Adjustable Float Arm Design
The float ball is connected to the valve body through an extended operating arm.
This arrangement allows the movement of the water level to operate the inlet valve mechanically.
For replacement or OEM projects, the rod length, float position and required shut-off water level should be confirmed according to the tank dimensions and installation arrangement.
5. Stainless Steel Float Ball
This model uses a stainless steel float ball to follow changes in the water level.
The float ball provides the buoyancy required to move the operating mechanism as the tank fills or empties.
The current technical information does not specify the stainless steel grade or float-ball diameter.
6. Working Pressure Range: 0.04–0.6 MPa
The current factory specification defines a working pressure range of:
0.04 MPa ≤ PW ≤ 0.6 MPa
This should be understood as a working pressure range, rather than simply describing the valve as a 0.6 MPa pressure-rated product.
Actual inlet pressure should remain within the specified operating range. If the system pressure falls below or exceeds the listed range, product suitability should be evaluated before ordering.
7. Available Sizes
The current factory information confirms the following valve sizes:
| Nominal Size | Working Medium | Working Pressure |
|---|---|---|
| 1/2″ | Water | 0.04–0.6 MPa |
| 3/4″ | Water | 0.04–0.6 MPa |
| 1″ | Water | 0.04–0.6 MPa |
| 1-1/4″ | Water | 0.04–0.6 MPa |
| 1-1/2″ | Water | 0.04–0.6 MPa |
| 2″ | Water | 0.04–0.6 MPa |
8. Working Temperature
The specified working temperature range for this float valve is:
0°C to 60°C
Application conditions outside this temperature range should be evaluated separately before product selection.
9. Typical Water Level Control Applications
Adjustable float valves are used where the incoming water supply needs to be controlled automatically according to the level inside a tank or reservoir.
Water Tanks
Storage Tanks
Water Reservoirs
Water Supply Systems
10. What Should Buyers Confirm Before Ordering?
Float valves should not be selected only by nominal inlet size.
The complete tank and operating conditions should also be considered.
Before requesting a quotation, confirm:
- Required valve size
- Thread or connection standard
- Actual inlet pressure
- Working temperature
- Tank dimensions
- Required water shut-off level
- Rod length requirement
- Float ball dimensions if specified
- Required brass material if applicable
- Required stainless steel grade if applicable
- Order quantity
- Logo and packaging requirements
11. Replacement and OEM Float Valve Projects
When replacing an existing float valve, a physical sample or complete dimensions can help confirm whether the new valve will match the existing tank installation.
Useful information includes:
- Existing valve photos
- Connection size
- Thread standard
- Rod length
- Float ball diameter
- Tank installation dimensions
- Working pressure
