Full Bore Ball Valve Design

A full-bore ball valve uses a relatively large internal flow passage compared with reduced-bore designs of a similar nominal connection size.

This can help reduce flow restriction when the valve is fully open, although actual flow performance depends on the complete valve geometry and system conditions.

Buyer Tip: full bore describes the internal flow-path design. It does not by itself determine pressure rating, material quality or suitability for a particular medium.

PN16 and PN25 Options

This valve series can be supplied in PN16 or PN25 configurations according to the required product specification.

Buyers should specify the required pressure class when requesting a quotation because PN16 and PN25 versions should not automatically be treated as identical products.

For additional guidance, see our PN16 vs PN25 Brass Ball Valves guide.

Technical Buyer Notes

Confirm the Required Thread Standard

The valve uses Female × Female threaded connections, and the thread standard can be customized according to buyer requirements.

Specify BSPP, BSPT, NPT or another required pipe-thread standard clearly in the RFQ.

For more information, see our BSP vs NPT thread guide.

Confirm the Required Pressure Class

The supplied product information indicates that this series may be configured for PN16 or PN25.

Pressure class should therefore be confirmed together with working medium and operating temperature rather than selected from the valve size alone.

Confirm the Brass Grade

The valve body is brass, but the exact brass grade is not currently confirmed.

If a particular material specification is required for the target market or application, include the required brass designation in the purchasing specification.

Confirm Internal Components

Ball, stem, seat, O-ring and other internal component materials are not confirmed by the currently available information.

If sealing material, stem material or other internal specifications are important to the application, these requirements should be confirmed before production.

Application Considerations

This full bore brass ball valve is designed for manual on/off flow control in threaded piping systems.

Final suitability should be evaluated according to working medium, temperature, required pressure class, thread standard and any application-specific requirements.
